A word of welcome to all Parents/Guardians/Learners and visitors to our school. When visiting our website you will get a clear idea how we would form and “Equip a young citizen for the future” at Generaal Jacques Pienaar Primary.
The famous basketball player Michael Jordan said the following: “Some people want it to happen; some wish it would happen and others make it happen”.
At Jakkies we make it happen. Enjoy your surfing.

MESSAGE FROM OUR PRINCIPAL: MR D SCHOEMAN
A school is a mini-world. It has its own culture and people who live and work in this environment, making it what it is. Staff and learners can often be seen showing caring and kindness towards each other because family is what it is all about. We strive to be one big happy family…. all learning and working together for common goals. The big-world we live in is a pressurized place!
One of the best indications of success in the transformation
of a society remains education, and furthermore, quality education which leads to excellence. However, in order to transform education,
we need the active participation of all parents/guardians as partners in education. Whether it is academic, sport, culture, values or discipline it takes a whole village to educate a child”
We need to activate all structures in the school – educators, parents/guardians, learners, administrative staff and Management – in order to ensure a very successful Primary school. In order to do so we must not be blind to what is happening nationally and internationally in education. Our vision to mould, prepare and equip a complete young citizen is filled with great challenges. So let’s take hands end ensure quality education at Generaal Jacques Pienaar Primary. Let’s look forward, challenge the future, and ensure the appropriateness of our school-system and the effectiveness of classroom-teaching, backed by parent/guardian support. In the spirit of early childhood development, I call for consistent commitment and participation of all “stakeholders” of the JAKKIES.
